The purpose of the Mission Group is to educate, encourage and equip members of Oro Valley United Church of Christ to be involved in the mission and ministry programs of the church and the world.

The Missions Group carries on the tradition of our rummage sale that raises money directly for local, national and international missions related to our churches wider mission (OCWM). At least half of our congregation participates in the rummage sale for days (sometimes weeks or months) by sorting, stacking, collecting, preparing meals the days of the sale and more.

Local mission giving goes to the entities with web sites linked to this page. (See below.) Information about OCWM giving is available on the sites associated with the United Church of Christ web site www.ucc.org/ocwm. In addition to giving money, this group also donates time and labor to support the work of the organizations it helps to fund. They provide also some money for the discretionary fund of the pastor.
